Patience Khumalo

Receptionist
The first friendly face you will see when visiting The Venue and the first friendly voice you will hear when you call us! Patience is delightful and pleasant. Always happy and smiling, and the most certainly welcomes all of our guests with warmth and enthusiasm.

 

Thokozani Sithole

Tea Lady
Toks is a happy soul! Funny and smiling; always running about tending to everyone’s daily dose of caffeine and serving drinks to our guests.

 

Nita Du Preez

Accountant
Nita is warm-natured and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Definitely an out of the ordinary friendly accountant! A smile that lights up her face and telephonic conversations in the finance department.

 

Marijana Abt

Head of Functions Department
Marijana’s successful career at The Venue has transformed her from the function coordinator to the head of her department and partner of the business. She is a dynamic personality, dedicated to leading her team with extraordinary passion and sparking energy which overflows into her work, creating a platform for efficient, professional functions of a high standard. Marijana works tirelessy to ensure a flawless operation leaving her clients satisfied long after their event.

 

Tanya Vogts

Function Co-ordinator
A new addition to our team! Tanya operates her functions with flair and considers tiny details to ensure that her perfectionism is carried through to her work and her team. Tanya’s personality is warm & inviting with a professional approach to all people that she deals with daily.

 

Bongani Ndlovu

Banqueting Manager
Bongani is blessed with a warm smile, impeccable manners and a friendly approach to both guests and colleagues alike. Fulfilling the role of Banqueting Manager requires a passion for service and a good overview of all aspects of our operation. Over the past six years, Bongani’s goal has been to ensure that he meets all of those requirements, but more importantly, that every single guest has a memorable experience at The Venue. We are proud to say that he has achieved that goal every time!

 

Rosemary Moyo

Assistant Banqueting Manager
Rose is an energetic, powerful, kind and fun-loving women! She exudes confidence and commands respect from her team with passion and a love for her work. Service excellence is an understatement, as Rose goes beyond the call of duty to make sure that our client’s function is run to perfection. [/one-third]

 

Emmanuel Nalane

Maintenance Supervisor
Emmanuel is better know to all of us as “Shoes” thanks to his love of soccer. Shoes’ sheer enthusiasm is apparent within minutes of meeting him. He is, has always been 100% committed to keeping The Venue looking good and as new for the past eight years. Shoes’ smiling face and warm nature lead his team of cleaners who maintain our spic-and-span look daily and during our functions.

 

Polite Ndlovu

Supervisor
Polite is the personification of his name! A hard working man who is quick on his feet and a team player. He is a quick learner and no task is too large a challenge!

 

Justice Qwaka

Supervisor
A man passionate about his work and the role he plays in The Venue’s functions set-up. Justice is always eager to offer his helping hand and pay attention to small details.

 

Lee Kent

Technical Manager
Lee heads up this department of exclusive “gadgets” ensuring that every technical need, throughout The Venue, is met with the utmost professionalism & enthusiasm. From presentations, to lighting, to sound, to a simple light bulb change, Lee is the man who operates it all.

 

Richard Mazekwana

Junior Technician
Richard started at The Venue as a barman with an eagerness to expand his knowledge & expertise in the technical department. He is now studying a course in Sound Engineering at Damelin. He is so dedicated to his new found passion that he often works right through Friday nights function to Saturday morning’s class!

 

Thobane Nleya, Absolom Shoko, Lovejoy Mkhwanazi

Beverage Department
Headed up by Thobane Nleya this department is responsible for welcome drinks, bar set-up, stock control and bar service. The team is a group of happy friendly people who take exceptional pride in providing outstanding bar service to our guests.

 

Marzanne Irle

F&B Controller
A bubbly woman with a courteous manner who believes in an honest approach to life & and her work. No task is too big for Marzanne who is a perfectionist by nature and absolutely does control her department and the rest of The Venue with passion!

 

Brandon O’Keefe

Executive Chef
The flavorsome food this man produces is deliriously delicious. Brandon’s talent creates dishes that are unique to The Venue and of exquisite taste sensations to the palate. He literally has you eating out of the palm of his hands as you melt while tasting one of his signature menus. Brandon heads up our kitchen crew of 14 who prepare variations of breakfast, tea, brunch, lunch & dinner menus.

 

Andries Mkhize

Snr Sous Chef
His round belly, infectious laughter and warm smile are welcoming! Andries is an amazing chef! Always open to suggestions from his staff, colleagues and guests to create recipes and menus that are the best suited to our clientèle. Andries achieved at the International Hotel School in Illovo, and studied a Professional Chef’s Diploma in 1999. He as worked at the Michelangelo (five star), Gold Reef City Hotel (four star) and the Balalaika Hotel (four star).

Security
This department is headed by the handsome Bryton Tibane. He is joined by James and Trevor who are blessed with warm hearts and a pleasant manner towards our guests. They always have welcoming, smiling faces and are unfailing polite.

 

Kenny Songelwa

Maintenance
Kenny has been with The Venue since the very first day building commenced! He is our very own ‘handy-man’, tweaking thing’s here and there-before, during and after functions, keeping our venue maintained to perfection.
